15,500 SQ FT concrete Skatepark will be located behind Kroger in the Wilmington, Ohio Denver Park.
CCSA MISSION STATEMENT
To provide the residents of Clinton County a free, open to the public, safe concrete skate park, and continuing to raise funds to help support the park.
A round the park we go
From the stairs, you skate into a 4' bowl with the first of it's kind "rainbow rail" named after the shape, then you'll pump down into the 6' craddle. After that, you'll come to the deathbox vert wall and hump and then down to the 8' bowl. The next bowl starts at 6' and goes down to 10' vert. California is the closest location to us with a bowl like this one. From here,

The planned park will be located by the big metal caterpillar and the old bathrooms, which will be torn down. New bathrooms will be built by the shelter houses at the city park. The completed project will cost $500,000 and could actually complete Phase I for $350,000.

Shamrock Slamdown 2010 Wrap Up
For the first time in ShamSlam history, a 3 on 3 basketball tournament was held simultaneously with the dodgeball event.The Clinton County YMCA was packed March 13 as friends, family and competitors gathered for the 2010 Shamrock Slamdown benefit fundraiser, sponsored by the CCSA, Clinton County Youth Council and the Clinton County YMCA.Doug Brown's Skate Straight

Hoping for a park of their own
Unable to make up its mind between sunny skies and dark clouds, the weather only put a slight damper on the Clinton County Skate Park Association fundraiser Saturday at the J.W. Denver Williams Jr. Memorial Park. The fundraiser featured ramps for skaters, live bands, wrestling matches and a kickball tournament called Kickball 4 Concrete. Full Story |
Company on board with skatepark project
Progress continues on the local dream to create a captivating, world class skatepark facility.Recently, a representative from Seattle-based Grindline Skateparks Inc. met with the project’s leaders to fashion a conceptual design.
